I was so annoyed with the overfilled rubbish in this house. Worse, no one even bothered to dump it outside other than myself or Shahin. So I decided to put this note up!

Middlesex Hospital vs Thorpe park
It's a Saturday. I planned to use the day working on my podopaed case study. At just about before 6am, Shahin came to my room and woke me up. Being disorientated from sleep, I could hardly comprehend what he was trying to say. All I could pick up was "... is in Hospital, AD called me at 5am and he was crying, and now made his way to Middlesex Hospital... do you wanna visit?". Immediately I just said, yeah why not. It sounded so serious, so I thought yeah.. why not?
Got ready, and fix a quick tea and toast for breakfast and we hit the road. Then he said, Shumba wanted to come along, so again... yeah... go on. Picked her up at Bexhill, then she said "Oh Emily just texted me that she wants to come along.. and she's waiting".. I was like... GOD! Can we stop messing about and wasting time already...! I was nervous, anticipating all the horrible news or stories at the hospital.
Hours later, we arrived... nope, not at Middlesex Hospital, but Thorpe Park!!! (Middlesex Hospital is no longer around, it has changed to UCLH now... how silly I was!). That's when they spilled the story. It was Shahin's surprise for me as a token of appreciation for what I did over the rough times he had gone through during the last few weeks.
Cut story short, it took me awhile to calm down. In the end, it was indeed a great day out. Oh, it was my first time ever being on those crazy rides. I had this philosophy of "I do not get on rides which involve head upside down"... and on that day... I overruled it!! Nevertheless, I enjoyed it very much. I wasn't nervous at all. Little did I know, SAW ride is actually the steepest roller coaster in the world! and one of the roller coasters we went on was actually on Guiness book of records for having the most loop! MY GOODNESS! If I knew all these earlier... I wouldn't have gone on any of them!!!

I smell holidays!
Finally, sleep deprivation resulted from work has ended (temporarily) for the term. I managed to pull myself to finish the ever so dreading podopead case study for learning by objectives module. The moment i printed the work off, I could feel the huge block of weight being lifted off my shoulders. I finally slept at midnight after I got my stuffs packed into my bag for next day's clinic as I had to wake up early to submit the work.
The dateline was at 2pm, but I had patients coming in at 9.30am, and I had to sign in clinic at 9am and I would normally finish clinic at 1pm (and it's unpredictable too). The submission place was at uni, which is like 30-40mins walk from my home, and the hospital is about 50mins away walking from the uni.
Left home at 7.10am without breakfast, straight to uni. The weather was horrible. It was grey, windy and drizzling. I prayed that it wouldn't be pouring until I got to the hospital, and yes, it didn't rain until I actually got into the hospital. Strange enough, without even making effort to speed up walking up hill, I arrived at the uni at about 7.45am, and made my way back straight into town for breakfast. Got myself Tim Horton's yummy hot chocolate and bought cold pastie which I then heated it up at the hospital. Again, alhamdulillah, I made it to the hospital about 8.15am. Far too early... ehhehe But that gave me good time to chill and eat my breakfast peacefully whilst some still struggling to finish off work in the last minute.
And.... guess what?! My 9.30 patient was changed back to her initial Pod for her laser therapy as his 9.30 patient got cancelled. Was I happy? oh yes... LLLT is never my cuppa tea anyway. And, my 11.45am patient got cancelled to which appointment I have re-arranged. So I ended up seeing 1 patient only at 10.30am. It was a very quick one, just reviewing his orthotics (click if you wanna know which one).
Yes, the result? He was happy as he was never before! He is now pain-free!!! He was seen by previous year 3 student, and after long intervention, nothing had worked. And to be fair, I had several failures in treatment I offered him before, until this mega-difficult orthotics kicked in, which he was skeptical of. But now, he was so thankful, and he shook my hands more than once!! ehhe So that is one happy patient. Altogether, I have got several happy patients who I have discharged now... ehhehe I'm quite please... a good way to end the term really.
Went home at 11-ish... and made myself seafood tomyam.. and off to lala land to compensate all that sleep deprivation!! heheh
Now... I can smell the holidays!!! woot woot
P/s: if you're wondering how I managed to keep up staying awake in class and in clinic albeit the 2-3 hours of sleep only.... well the key is breakfast! And in class, I carry a carton of Tropicana juice (which would finish by the end of the lecture) that boost my Vit C and keep me awake and alert! Also, my trusted mp3 player streaming me with psychological stimulation that I would always need.

The wave is back high again...
It's the final week before we break off for the Easter holidays. So much planned for the holidays and I'm looking forward to it.
I've been slacking with my blog entry, I know.. and I have been through so much over the past few weeks. I jsut don't know where to begin. They're not any dramatically devastating anyway. It's just the usual ups and downs of a final year student. Things happened.... *sigh*
For one, my laptop decided to crash on me. In just a simple snap, my laptop perhaps had given up on me after so long serving me processing thousands of words for my coursework. For a whole day.. literally whole 24 hours I spent on finding possible ways to revive it. It was as difficult to revive someone from a cardiac arrest! Finally it gave me either to reformat without back up or with the back up. Hell yeah, I ain't that stupid! Of course I chose the one with the back up. 6-7 hours later... my laptop was back as new. Cut long story short, the only data that were backed up were those useless factory pictures that came with this ever so annoying HP laptop. Apparently the problem is typical for all HP users with the *fbw file! arrgh! Thanks alot HP... you have just ruined all the memories I stored over the past 3 years! *sigh*.. but thanks to my other online album providers... at least I can still see those moments painted on pictures no matter how tiny they are.
Now, I'm taking my tiny little break *guilty* from writing my reflection due for tomorrow. I'm currently finishing my Podopaediatric coursework (about children's lower limb). Here's my draft.
And I haven't got the time to tidy up my room meticulously... put OCD aside, I have priorities. This is how my room typically looks like when my life pretty much occupied with work anyway...
Oh well... that's it for now. I promise I will put more exciting extry(ies) in short time! ta!!
